Connections, Leadership and a Special Guest at Northwest Business Network
What a great night for the Northwest Business Network!
Last night, professionals from throughout the northwest suburbs came together at CoCo & Blu in Arlington Heights for another evening of networking, relationship building and meaningful business conversations.
One of the things we continue to enjoy most about these events is watching people move around the room, meet someone new and reconnect with people they already know.
There were conversations happening everywhere, introductions being made and plenty of opportunities for people to discover how they might be able to help one another.
Building Relationships That Go Beyond One Event
For us, networking has never been about simply collecting business cards.
It is about getting to know the person behind the business, understanding what they do and creating relationships that can eventually lead to referrals, collaborations and opportunities.
Throughout the evening, we were able to help introduce attendees to people we thought they should know.
That is one of our favorite parts of hosting these events.
Sometimes all it takes is one introduction to start a conversation that may turn into something much bigger down the road.
Thank You to Our Sponsor, Eric Himes
We were excited to once again have Eric Himes of The Inspired Culture join us as a sponsor of the evening.
Eric is helping bring the Leadership Summit to Naperville on November 16 and 17, an event focused on bringing leaders together for learning, growth and professional development.
If you are interested in attending, Eric has provided a special discount for our Windy City Business Network community.
Use promo code CUECAMP50 to receive 50% off your ticket.
Thank you, Eric, for continuing to support our networking community and the professionals who attend our events.
A Special Visit From Rob Johnson
We also had a special guest join us for the evening — Rob Johnson, former Channel 2 Chicago news anchor.
Rob joined us to talk about his new book, Overcommunicate, a guide written for business executives and aspiring leaders.
Communication can have an enormous impact on leadership, company culture and the way teams work together, making this a particularly relevant topic for a room filled with business owners and professionals.
We appreciated Rob spending time with our group, sharing his new book and connecting with attendees throughout the evening.

Creating a Stronger Northwest Business Community
Every Northwest Business Network event reminds us why we started building these groups in the first place.
There are so many talented business owners, executives and professionals throughout Arlington Heights and the northwest suburbs who would benefit from knowing one another — sometimes they simply need the opportunity to get into the same room.
Our job is to help make that happen.
We want our events to continue being a place where people feel comfortable walking into the room, introducing themselves, asking questions and looking for opportunities to help someone else.
Because the strongest networking relationships usually do not happen after one conversation.
They are built by showing up, staying connected and continuing to support one another.
Thank You, Arlington Heights!
Thank you to everyone who joined us at CoCo & Blu and helped make it another great evening for the Northwest Business Network.
A special thank you again to Eric Himes and The Inspired Culture for sponsoring the event, and to Rob Johnson for joining us and sharing Overcommunicate with our community.
We are excited to continue growing the Northwest Business Network and bringing professionals together throughout Arlington Heights and the surrounding northwest suburbs.
We hope to see you at the next one!
